Gruhapravesam crackers at the Sivakasi price
A gruhapravesam is timed to a muhurtham, often in the early morning. The family walks in, milk is boiled in the new kitchen until it rises over the pot, and the house hears its first celebration.

Why crackers belong to Housewarming
This is a short, exact occasion. You need a few things at one moment in the morning, not an evening of fireworks.
What to buy
A garland for the gate as you enter, a few single sound crackers when the milk boils over, and sparklers for the children who came along. Keep the rest of the order for the next festival.

Not sure how much to buy?
Most families land between ₹5,000 and ₹10,000 at our prices, which at the printed MRP would be several times that. Every ready pack clears the minimum order, so you can start from one and adjust.
Housewarming questions
What is lit at a gruhapravesam?
A garland at the gate as the family enters and sometimes a few single sounds when the milk boils over. Sparklers for the children finish it off.
Will the order arrive in time?
Order a week ahead and it will. Parcels to Hyderabad take 3 to 5 days. The 5,000 rupees minimum is more than a housewarming needs, so most families keep the extra for Deepavali.
Can you deliver on our muhurtham date?
We aim for a few days before it. Tell us the date when you order; transport arrival times are never exact, so early is the safe side.
